Sleep in comfort at Big Bear River Resort

After a full day of fun on the Niangua, relax around the fire pit at Big Bear River Resort before retiring to sleep in air-conditioned comfort. The resort offers both wet and dry cabins and two shower houses with clean restrooms, hot showers and flush toilets. 

Check-in is 2 p.m. and check-out is 11 a.m.

Make summer reservations as early in the year as possible. Cabins sell out every weekend during the warm months. If cabins are unavailable on your preferred dates, please email us at office@BigBearRiverResort.com to be put on the waiting list. 

Don’t forget to include your name, phone number, and email address, plus your choice of dates and cabin(s).

Prices includes a certain number of people in each cabin (listed in descriptions).
Extra adults $15, Extra Children $3.

A1 - Baloo's Bungalow

Baloo’s, named after the fun-loving bear in The Jungle Book, is a rustic 3 bedroom, 2 bath bungalow with a full kitchen. The main bedroom has a king bed and the other two bedrooms have queen beds, sleeping up to 6 people total. Enjoy morning coffee or dinner al fresco on the covered porch or patio, complete with a grill and fire pit. Conveniently located next door to the main office. Air-conditioned and heated. $250/night.  Minimum 2 night stay on the weekends.

A2 - Little John's Den

Little John’s Den, named for the irreverent sidekick in Disney’s old-school Robin Hood, features a spacious living area (with fold-out couch) and kitchen with refrigerator, stove and microwave. In the back are 2 roomy bedrooms with queen beds, one bathroom and a washer/dryer. Chill out on the covered porch or by the firepit while lighting up the nearby charcoal grill.  Sleeps up to 6 people; air-conditioned and heated. $200/night | Friday/Saturday $225. Minimum 2 night stay on the weekends.

A3 - Paddington's Pad

The largest of all cabins at Big Bear, Paddington’s Pad is a paradise for families with lots of cubs or for a reunion of friends. With 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a kitchen with a large island and washer/dryer, the entire pack will fit here comfortably. Each bedroom has a queen bed. The L-shaped covered porch overlooks a quiet wooded area. A firepit directly out the back door is a prime area for private socializing. Sleeps up to 8 people; air-conditioned and heated. $300/night. Minimum 2 night stay on the weekends.

A4 - Brother Bear's Bunkhouse

Brother Bear’s is an updated twist on a classic bunkhouse, with a river view! The open-style cabin sleeps up to 5 people, with a queen bed, built-in twin bunk beds, and a twin bed in the loft. Overstuffed chairs and a standing shower complete the modern rustic feel. A welcoming front porch with a bench for people watching is complemented by an additional side deck with firepit and grill. Conveniently located next door to Mama Bear’s Mini Mart, which serves breakfast every Saturday morning. Air conditioning, stand up heaters. $175/night | Friday/Saturday $200. Minimum 2 night stay on the weekends.

B1 - Fozzie Bear's Cabin | B2 - Sugar Bear's Cabin | B3 - Honey Bear's Cabin

Our dry sleeping cabins are an upgrade from primitive campsites. This trio has 2 queen beds, sleeping up to 4 people total. The cozy cabins are conveniently located a short walk from clean restrooms and hot showers behind the main office (facing the playground). These cabins have a table and chairs, covered porch and deck, grill and firepit. Microwaves and apartment sized refrigerators in each cabin. Air-conditioned; stand up heaters. $100/night | Friday/Saturday $125, minimum 2 night stay on the weekends.

C1 - Pooh Bear's Cabin | C2 - Yogi Bear's Cabin | C3 - Boo-boo's Cabin

Our dry sleeping cabins are an upgrade from primitive campsites. This trio has 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed each, sleeping up to 3 people total. The cozy cabins are conveniently located a short walk from clean restrooms and hot showers behind the main office (facing the playground). All cabins have a table and chairs and a cozy porch. These cabins share a communal firepit and grill. Microwaves and apartment sized refrigerators in each cabin. Air-conditioned; stand up heaters. $50/night | Friday/Saturday $75,  minimum 2 night stay on the weekends.

D1-8 Grizzly Ridge

Grizzly Ridge is ideal for gregarious groups who travel in a pack. The two-story complex features 8 individual dry rooms with a firepit and grills in a shared community area. All rooms except one have 2 queen beds plus a table and two chairs; the last room has 4 twin beds. Microwaves and apartment sized refrigerators in each cabin. Sleeps up to 4 people eachEach room is air conditioned and has stand up heaters. Restrooms and hot showers are conveniently located down the covered staircase next to Mama Bear’s Mini Mart. $75/night | Friday/Saturday $100. Minimum 2 night stay on the weekends
